The group performs acceptance testing of all new Viper-related equipment as it arrives at the Valparaiso Service Center. From there a separate contractor installs the equipment. After installation is complete, our HIVOLT Protection & Control and Field Services team goes to each equipment location and puts the equipment in service by performing functional checks verifying equipment settings parameters are correct and ready to be placed in service. Our SCADA and Communication representative works each day with a NIPSCO Communications rep to handle all Viper equipment communications between the equipment and the Operations Control Centers.
